2008 at DTC - It was attended by students doing their industrial training in the 2008/2009 academic session. Speakers included
Ms Catherine Tantaco, Marketing Director at Reckitt Benkiser Malaysia (Making the Most of Your Internship), Ms Hamidah
Naziadin, Director of Group Corporate Resources, CIMB (Getting YourselfEmployed), Ms Noor Hazniza Zainuddin,
Career Consultant with Jobmarket Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Online Internship Applications) and
Mr Jason Teoh, currently with ICLIF (Internships - Going Global). There were also opportunities for students
to register for online internship placements with Jobmarket after the seminar.Download

48 Preparatory Programme for Industrial Training Workshops for the 2008/9 academic session
were held on 19 & 26 July, 2 & 9 August , 2008.
Another 24 Preparatory Programme for Industrial Training Workshops for the 2008/9 academic
session were held on 11 & 18 October 2008.
IMPORTANT!! Certificates for the Corporate Seminar (12 July 2008) and the workshops on
19 & 26 July, and 2 & 9 August , 2008 can be collected at CITRA from 12 August 2008. Certificates that are not collected
by 31 December 2008 will be destroyed.
UM-AMCHAM Leadership Lecture Series
The first lecture in the UM-AMCHAM Leadership Lecture Series was held on 15 January 2008 at Auditorium
IPS. The event was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Malaya, Ybhg. Datuk Rafiah Salim while the guest
speaker was Ms Karen Aberstson, Managing Director of 3M Malaysia Sdn Bhd who spoke on 'Preparing Leaders for the Future'.
The second lecture in the UM-AMCHAM Leadership Lecture Series was held on 25 March 2008 at Auditorium IPS.
The guest speaker was Mr. Vaidyanath Swamy, Country CEO Malaysia/Singapore, Procter & Gamble (M) Sdn.Bhd who spoke on
'Leadership - What Matters in a Multinational'
CIMB Apprentice Programme for Pre-employment Programme
a one week induction
programme was held at the University of Malaya by CIMB (9-13 June, 2008). The programme was aimed at exposing participants
to the banking industry in particular to CIMB. The programme ended with interview sessions, where participants were given
offer letters for the 3-month job-training placement with CIMB beginning on 30 June 2008.
